Armenia |
One of the cradles of civilisation, Armenia offers travellers a unique experience. Situated along the route of the Great Silk Road, Armenia has come into contact with cultures of the West and the East throughout the millennia. A unique culture was created based, to a certain extent, on a synthesis of these two cultures, and the spirit of Europe and the spirit of Asia melded the character of its people.

Thousands of cultural monuments are scattered on this ancient land - rock drawings, cave towns, excavations of ancient cities, remnants of the most ancient observatories and metallurgical centres, sacred monuments on the slopes of mountains, in valleys and on the shores of lakes, and beautifully carved khachkars (cross stones). Armenia boasts striking scenery with high mountain ranges and plateaus, fertile valleys, lush forests, stony pastures, alpine meadows, gorges cut through layers of volcanic rock, and an incredible wonder of nature, Lake Sevan’s blue eye.

Culture, history, stunning scenery, hospitality – Armenia has much to offer .
